This pic shows web 2.0 companies in the valley that have died (marked by X’s), been acquired (marked by O’s) and those still hanging on. The mashup is obviously not inclusive and probably not entirely accurate. I spent a few minutes this evening putting together a collage of my own, representing Texas (mainly Austin) web startups I could think of off the top of my head. There are better (read: more crowd sourced) ways to compile this list and a few bright guys are trying to get something going.
